Discovering A Christian Social Justice Blog
With current news and world events, many Christians and others are looking for an emotional outlet in which to post comments, ideas, theories, or simply vent. There are a number of blogs, forums and other sites which feature or report on different forms of social justice with Christianity only being one aspect. As such, each individual must discover a Christian Social Justice Blog based on personal beliefs, experience and other factors.
Whether the blog is aimed only at Christians or the world often depends on the church or institute managing the blog. For, while there are a number of blogs aimed at the Christian community, there are others aimed at other religions and those living a secular lifestyle. Still, as many believe Christians have to commit good works to enter the kingdom of heaven, a number of churches have now become involved in working in the areas of social, criminal and civil justice.
When using one of these blogs, whether reading or posting, it is important to keep in mind that there are differing beliefs even within the Christian religion. As such, while it is good to read these writings of contemporary and modern bloggers, it is also good to remember that each individual is entitled to the belief which one holds.
These type programs, whether based in secular or religious circles tend to focus on helping those most in need. Sometimes this might be the need of a church member, a friend, or even a town. In all cases, there is generally some good that comes out of this type program whether ran by a church, religious organization or otherwise.
With the biblical interpretation of the word just meaning to make right, Christians often perceive taking an action in this regard making things right with God. Whereas, others see making things right with others having a component of making things right with God. Regardless, when it comes to these type programs, the emphasis is most likely going to lie with making things right with God regardless as to whether or not forgiveness can be obtained from others.
Ultimately, these religious based blogs and forums can help individuals find a deeper meaning in the love, honor and work of others. For many, simply having this type blog or forum in which someone can post questions, or statements can also help in teaching others the importance of giving is a blessing. For, without giving, it is often impossible to understand the full extent of gratitude.
For many, a Christian perspective of social work is more about creating an entry to the kingdom in the here and now. For, in participating in these type programs, it is believed that believers are working toward a more just world in the future. Whether it's abuse to human rights, dying infants, economic exploitation or human trafficking, it is often clear that those living a more just life will often also find a more just future.
Social work is an area which non-believers, believers, and members of all different faiths can agree is necessary. It is the approach individuals take to creating a more just world that often makes the difference. For those whom believe these works will open a door to the kingdom and a more just world in the future, then most often a door will be opened. Whereas, there is no doubt that those working towards a brighter future from a more secular position will still find joy in the process.
