Catholics view marriage as a gift from God. A lot of teachings about marriage are done in the church. They teach about marriage in the following main elements, marriage brings together the husband and wife in mutual love and faithfulness, marriage gives the couple an opportunity to give life, it is a way of responding to Gods call for holiness and through marriage the love of Christ is shown. This article will continue to highlight different dimensions of catholic views on marriage.

As the Catholics, marriage is born from the mystery of Jesus Christ saving the church. It is therefore seen as sacrament. From a marriage love grows between the spouses and in the process children are born. Such gives and opens a door for external life and holiness. The love shared in a family manifests how God loves the world.

Everything has a meaning and a purpose and so is marriage as per the Catholic Church. It is from a marriage that a family is born, the family forms the domestic church. Here love, care, forgiveness, faithfulness, sacrifice, hospitality starts. If family members observe the above among themselves, then it will not be any difficult extending the sane to the neighbors.

Human sexuality form another important aspect of marriage. It is referred to as sacred and holy. It is a way of expressing deep love and faithfulness between the husband and wife. It is an act that should be done with openness and complete self-giving. Sexuality originated from Gods heart and mind. Therefore, a lot of respect and honor should be accorded to it.

A spiritual meaning is given to marriage by the Catholics. They do not see only the physical part of making a family. A marriage shows the love of Christ to people, it is a very strong way of teaching Christians how they should reach to others in love. Through their actions and how they treat each other, a couple witnesses gospel values to the world.

Prayer is described as the glue that holds and keeps a marriage intact. As a catholic family, prayer should be part of you, it means you are involving god in all your activities. Prayers can be made in a number of ways including, recited prayers, for instance, hail mother of Jesus, spontaneous prayers, those a couple say before going to bed, praying with scriptures and the perfect prayer.

Engaged couples plan a wedding on their own today. If one is a catholic or maybe both, it is advisable to make arrangements to be married in a catholic church. This is a very important decision. It is more than choosing a venue for the event and photo shoots. Prayerful and thoughtful planning in your catholic wedding come with huge blessings to your family.

For a civil wedding to be valid, there are things to be met, as well, for a catholic wedding to be valid, the following must be met, the couple should be willing to marry freely, they should have consent exchanged freely, have the intent of staying in the marriage all through and consent exchanged in the presence of two witnesses and a church minister.
